Did you always want to be a model? Tell us about how you were discovered.
It was always on my mind for as long as I can remember. I was a very creative child, and I wanted to express myself in any way possible. I used to create clothes for my little Barbies and make them do runway. Any creative outlet I could find was used. Fashion is the art that helped me the most. The way I present myself, my clothes, and my jewelry are always an extension of me and of how I wanna be understood in a way. Being part of the creative process, even on a small scale as a model, is something that I enjoy very much.
Most memorable modeling experience so far?
I had a shoot for a magazine on a beach, and I think it will probably stay my favorite memory for a long time. I am someone who loves the sea and the countryside more than anything; I never felt so at peace and free. I joined my love for the sea and the passion that is my job. I had so much fun; the people I was working with were extremely talented and loving, and it made this experience truly amazing. I did not want to go home after, haha.
One song you have on repeat, and why?
Rise – Solange
What other passions do you have aside from modeling?
I am extremely passionate about art in general. I am someone who will use any time on my hands to visit a museum or any exhibition. It is something that shaped my childhood. My grandparents are very passionate about it, too, and from a young age, they used to drag me to museums. I think some of those visits are my favorite memories of my childhood. Nothing is more beautiful than seeing something through the eyes of a passionate person.
What is something you’ve always wanted to do/try?
I used to play the transverse flute, and I have wanted for a while to find a way to play in a jazz band.
What’s one thing people may be surprised to find out about you?
I think most of the time, people are surprised about the fact that I study law. I always get a funny reaction. I think most people expect you to study something related to fashion.
What change would you like to see in the world?
There could be many answers to that question; I think I would say a better healthcare system and education system for people with disabilities. Implementing a real follow-up for some of those children, allowing them a proper education that correlates to their needs. To me, we also need a better system to raise awareness about the different kinds of disabilities, how they can coexist, and how they can affect people. There is a lack of information; a disability is always on a spectrum, and it is genuinely important for this to be understood. A better financing system for families and a better support system in general.
