As I mentioned above, I skip wash days way too often and typically stick to shampooing my long curly hair once or twice a week. I’ve been wearing my hair in its natural curly state these days, but wanted to give the leave-in treatment a proper test—with and without heat-styling.
The directions say to smooth the formula onto towel-dried hair, wait four minutes, and then style as usual. After using a clarifying shampoo in-shower, skipping my usual conditioner (per the instructions), and letting my hair air-dry for a few minutes, I ran two pumps of the thick creamy treatment through my mid-lengths to ends. The first time around, I didn’t use any heat afterward and applied a few pumps of hair oil to keep my hair frizz-free and lock in the moisture.
I immediately noticed my hair was smoother, and my split-ends looked mended. As my hair continued to air-dry, it didn’t frizz like it normally does and my curls looked uniform without any unwanted flyaways.
The second time I tried the treatment, I did use heat. I went about the same steps, only this time, I followed up with a heat protectant, skipped the oil, and whipped out my Dyson Airwrap. I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth and soft my hair came out but also how healthy it looked after applying heat.
