We’re two episodes into The Bachelorette and we’re absolutely loving it so far. Brooke Blurton has proven to be a great choice to front the series, and the contestants are definitely are an interesting bunch.
One of them is Bec, a 30-year-old charity officer from Victoria. She’s loud and enthusiastic, and is incredibly passionate about mental health, being an inclusive ally, cats and strangely … potatoes.
If she could describe herself in five words it would be gregarious, assertive, adventurous, ambitious and loyal. And while she’s out to win Brooke’s heart, she’s not going to settle if there’s no connection.
“I would rather be single than with someone who’s not right for me,” she told Ten.
She chose to apply for the show because she wanted to push herself out of her comfort zone, and she’s hoping she’s the last person standing.
Let’s see if that’s how things play out.
Brooke is the first Indigenous and pansexual Bachelorette the franchise has ever seen, and in a move that has never been done before, the contestants on this year’s season are a mix of men and women.
From a former contestant on The Bachelor to a carpenter who can build a bench in a few minutes, the latest season of the show is definitely going to be an interesting one.
The Bachelorette Australia airs at 7.30pm every Wednesday and Thursday on Channel 10 and 10play.
