Tommy Little is about to star on a reality show and no, he’s not the next Bachelor after Jimmy Nicholson.
On May 26 it was announced that MasterChef Australia would be releasing a celebrity edition and while no cast had been revealed yet, one radio show managed to trick Little into admitting he had been cast.
Chatting to Fifi, Fev & Nick on Fox FM, Brendan Fevola told the Carrie and Tommy radio star that he had signed on to Celebrity MasterChef in the hopes that Little would confirm his appearance.
“We announced that this morning at 7 o’clock, and I’ll be on it, and the only reason I did it is because I saw your name on there,” Fevola told the comedian. “So we’ll be going head to head brother.”
Caught-off-guard, Little said: “I’ve been told I’m not allowed to talk about it yet. Did you really announce it this morning?”
Fev replied “yeah,” to which his guest replied: “Obviously I’m going to win if I’m up against you. Are we actually allowed to talk about it yet because I was told I’m not allowed to talk about it?”
Fifi Box then jumped in to save The Project host and said: “Tommy, he’s joking, he’s not on it, he didn’t make an announcement. He’s tricked you.”
“Oh my god,” Little said. “Are we live?” Yes, Tommy. You were live!
The 36-year-old then promptly pretended he was going into a lift and hung up. Uh-oh! Somebody’s in trouble!
According to Ten, the network has “searched high and low for some of the country’s top celebrities with a passion for food, and are ready for their big break in the MasterChef kitchen. While these celebs may be the best in their business, will they make it in the kitchen?”
Unfortunately, while MasterChef Junior will not be returning in 2021, esteemed judges Melissa Leong, Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo, will be back to put this new crop of stars through their paces.
“Melissa, Jock and I can’t wait to swing open the doors to the MasterChef kitchen and welcome these famous faces. It’ll be a multi-talented group who step into the kitchen, but will they be at the top of their cooking game?” Allen said in a statement.
